Our local grocery-Econo Foods

I just have to give a great big round of applause for our local grocer, Econo Foods. I just received an email update from them describing their new online sales ad. I thought I would take a venture through the ad, not really expecting anything new. Boy was I extremely surprised! If you click on their ordering link you are brought to a new window where you can order items individually or by the case. After taking a look I noticed there was a Gluten Free section. After clicking again I realized I can order more Gluten Free products then we actually carry in the store. What ever gluten free products the local store is able to order you can also order. When I went through the checkout process, they have your create an account and enter your usual information for home delivery. I did not see an option to have it delivered to store, just to your home. You have the option to add rush delivery for an extra $10. You can even send your items as a gift without the pricing information. What a great gift for our troops! A box of those special little granola bars (ect.) that can’t be found over seas. A $2.50 handling fee is only applied if your order is under $25. No handling fee if your order is over $25. Your order is weighed and FedEx actual Published Shipping Rate shipping rates are applied. This is what they say, “the same rate you would pay if you took a package to FedEx yourself and shipped it from our zip code to yours.

When you live in a small town like I do this is a really big deal! I love how this grocery store has gone from me begging them to carry just a handful of gluten free items to stocking an entire gluten free section in their all naturalĀ  and freezer sections. Love this!!!
