Hamburger Soup

Grandma’s Hamburger Soup
- 1 pkg Five-Way Beef Mix, thawed
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 4 cups tomato juice
- 1/4 cup rice, uncooked
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- Parmesan cheese for garnish
In large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Ladle into soup bowls. Garnish with Parmesan cheese. Makes 6-8 servings.
Variation:
Substitute 2 cups water for 2 cups tomato juice. Substitute 1 cup broken gluten free noodles for 1/4 cup rice.
