Apple Caramel Dip- Best Ever
Posted On November 17, 2010
This is by far the best apple dip I have ever come across. I made it for my daughter’s Halloween Party. All the kids raved about it! It could easily be made with dairy free cream cheese if you are watching your dairy intake. Caramel itself does have dairy in it also.
- 2-8 oz packages of lowfat cream cheese
- 1/4 cup brown sugar or 1/8 cup Splenda brown sugar substitute
- 1 tub of fat free caramel dip
- 1/4 cup toffee bits
- 1/4 cup pecan pieces
- sliced apples-preferably a tart one like Granny Smith
Mix cream cheese with brown sugar. Spread into a serving dish. Pour caramel dip on top of cream cheese and top with toffee bits* and pecan pieces. Serve with apples.
*Chopped peanuts may be used if you are looking for more of a traditional caramel apple taste. Make sure if you slice the apples ahead of time that you dip them into a mixture of lemon juice and water to keep them from turning brown.
